Finished up my sample of Rishi's FF Kukicha with lunch. :D

DHP has been calling my name all day so I had to have some. These guys brewed it up nicely.

What can I say. When I'm excited about things I like to share them with the people around me.

Hou de's shui xian as an afternoon tea.

Wow, Nick, I really like the darker glaze of the ShyRabbit TA SO. Really dramatic. Thanks for coloring our TD!

Late entry into the topic. I do when I think the recipient will be receptive and will use the tea. Most recently my sister and nephew received some good tea and some wares. They seem the most earnest and open about tea in my family.

Began the TD with Kirameki from O-Cha. The rest of the day was spent with out of town family but still managed to enjoy the last of the anon organic sencha with the same nephew and the Mrs. followed by Masters TKY from Adagio.

Great TD.

Started my teaday with "organic sencha" from local shop...watched water carefully this time and poured when I was just getting small bubbles...a bit better today...mild sweetness and some seaweedy flavours...but it´s still weak and not very exciting. It´s not bad....but it´s priced on par with O-cha´s top offerings...but it tastes like a budget tea...glad I just bought a sample. A bit disappointed...this shop does have some very good tea but the sencha isn´t one of them.

Like their silver cloud white tea I´m having now...beautiful multicoloured whole leaves, amazing fruity aroma delicious complex fruity-leafy flavours in the cup....Mmmmmm : ):::...

I will be -very- happy when the Sencha arrives from Zencha!

Today's teaDay is ending with many infusions of Lao Ban Zhang loose Mao Cha from Norbu, and I am reminded of trying to share it with a tea-loving student on a day when everything I brewed was going wrong....and it ended up quite sadly bitter and not a bit friendly to a person new to puerh.

Tonight the tea is giving a gift of a perfectly delightful series of infusions to me.

I give tea as a gift all the time. Almost weekly. I own a tea shop, so I am always giving away samples and whatnot to people. I love trying to hook people on a new type of tea. It's fun to help someone's addiction grow.

I have, though not often. Mostly if I already know they enjoy tea (latest tea gift was a box of Scottish Breakfast for one of my best friends, because it's quite difficult to find most of the time, and I happened across a box and said "I have to get this for her!").
